Finding Your Business ID

Updated 2026-02-17

To display reviews in Sociable Reviews, you need to provide your business identifier for each review platform you want to pull from. This guide explains how to find the identifier for each supported source.

Google Place ID

A Google Place ID is a unique identifier for your business location in Google Maps.

When creating or editing a widget, the Google section includes a search field with autocomplete. Simply start typing your business name, select the correct result from the dropdown, and the Place ID will be filled in automatically. Your business name will also be populated if you haven’t entered one yet.

Manual Entry

If you prefer to enter the Place ID manually, click Enter Place ID manually below the search field. You can find your Place ID using the Google Place ID Finder:

  1. Enter your business name in the search box.
  2. Click on your business marker on the map.
  3. Copy the Place ID from the info window (it looks like ChIJN1t_tDeuEmsRUsoyG83frY4).

Common Issues

  • Multiple Locations --- Each business location has its own Place ID. Select the one you want to display reviews for.
  • Business Not Found --- Make sure your business is registered and verified on Google Business Profile.
  • No Reviews Showing --- Confirm you have public reviews on Google for that location.

Facebook Page URL

For Facebook, enter the full URL of your business page.

How to Find It

  1. Go to your business page on Facebook.
  2. Copy the URL from your browser’s address bar.
  3. Paste it into the Facebook Page URL field (e.g. https://www.facebook.com/yourbusiness).

Common Issues

  • Page vs. Profile --- You need a Facebook Business Page, not a personal profile.
  • No Username Set --- If your page URL contains a long numeric ID, go to your Page Settings to set a username.

Trustpilot Business URL

For Trustpilot, enter your complete business profile URL.

How to Find It

  1. Go to trustpilot.com.
  2. Search for your business name.
  3. Click on your business in the results.
  4. Copy the full URL (e.g. https://www.trustpilot.com/review/yourbusiness.com).

Common Issues

  • Multiple Profiles --- Choose the profile with the most reviews.
  • Domain Mismatch --- Make sure the domain in the URL matches your actual business website.

Troubleshooting

No Reviews After Setup

  1. Verify the identifier --- Double-check that you entered the correct URL or Place ID.
  2. Check for public reviews --- The platform must have public reviews for your business.
  3. Wait for sync --- Reviews are fetched in the background. Allow a few minutes for the initial sync to complete.
  4. Contact support --- If the issue persists, email us at support@soviapps.com.
