Inventory Sync
Updated 2026-02-19
Bundable automatically syncs with your Shopify inventory to ensure customers cannot purchase out-of-stock products in the bundle builder. Here’s how it works for each bundle mode.
Single-SKU Bundles
When a customer places an order that includes a single-SKU bundle, Bundable listens for the Shopify order webhook and automatically adjusts inventory for each component product in the bundle.
For example, if a customer orders a bundle containing 2x Product A and 1x Product B, inventory for Product A is reduced by 2 and Product B by 1.
Important: For inventory adjustments to work, your shop needs a location ID configured in the Bundable settings. This tells the app which inventory location to adjust. If you’re having issues with inventory not adjusting, please contact support@soviapps.com so we can verify your location settings.
Multi-SKU Bundles
In Multi-SKU mode, each product in the bundle is added to the cart as its own line item with its real Shopify variant. This means Shopify handles inventory automatically — no manual adjustment from the app is needed.
Real-Time Inventory Checks
Bundable checks inventory at two points:
- When the customer loads the bundle builder page — products that are out of stock are marked as unavailable
- When the customer completes checkout — Shopify validates inventory at this point
Please note that if two customers are building bundles at the same time, it is possible for both to add the same item before either checks out. Shopify’s checkout will handle this by blocking the second order if inventory runs out.
