Creating Bundle Categories (Build-a-Box)

Great news — Bundable now natively supports multi-step bundles, which means you can create categories (steps) within a single bundle!

How Multi-Step Bundles Work

With our Build-a-Box feature, you can guide customers through a step-by-step selection process. Each step acts as its own category with its own product source and limits.

For example, if you sell meal kits, you could set up:

• Step 1: Choose your protein (chicken, beef, tofu)
• Step 2: Choose your side (rice, pasta, salad)
• Step 3: Pick a sauce (teriyaki, BBQ, lemon herb)

Setting Up Multi-Step Bundles

1. Open the Bundable app and click Create Bundle (or Edit an existing bundle)
2. In the Products section, enable Multi-Step Mode
3. For each step, configure:Step Name: what customers see (e.g., “Choose Your Protein”)
4. Product Source: select a Collection or hand-pick products for that step
5. Min/Max: set how many items customers must or can choose per step
6. Sort Order: control how products are displayed within the step
7. Add as many steps as you need
8. Click Save

Customers will be guided through each step sequentially, ensuring they pick the right combination before adding the bundle to their cart.
