Tiered Pricing Discounts

Bundable supports tiered pricing discounts — escalating discounts that increase as customers add more items to their bundle. For example, you can offer 5% off for 2 items, 10% off for 3, and 15% off for 4 or more.

How It Works

When a customer adds items to their bundle, the discount automatically adjusts based on which tier they’ve reached. A progress bar shows customers their current tier and how many more items they need to unlock the next discount level.

Setting Up Tiered Discounts

1. Open your bundle in the Bundable admin and scroll to the Pricing section.
2. Check Enable discount.
3. Choose your Discount Type — Percentage or Fixed Amount. This applies to all tiers.
4. Check Use tiered discounts.
5. Add your tiers. Each tier has two fields:Minimum quantity — the number of items needed to unlock this tier
6. Discount value — the percentage or fixed amount off at this tier
7. Click + Add tier to add more levels (up to 6 tiers per bundle).
8. Save your bundle.

Example Setup

• A customer adding 1 item pays full price
• Adding a 2nd item unlocks 5% off the entire bundle
• Adding a 3rd item bumps the discount to 10% off
• Adding 4 or more items gives the maximum 15% off

Customer Experience

Customers see a tier progress bar on the bundle builder page showing all available tiers. As they add items, the progress bar updates to show:

• Which tiers they’ve reached (highlighted)
• Their current discount level
• A motivational message like “Add 2 more to get 10% OFF”
• “Maximum discount applied!” when they’ve reached the top tier

The progress bar appears both above the product grid and in the cart summary sidebar.

Works With Both Bundle Modes

Tiered discounts work with both Single-SKU and Multi-SKU bundles:

• Single-SKU: the discount is calculated and applied on the bundle builder page before adding to cart
• Multi-SKU: the discount is applied automatically at checkout via Shopify’s cart transform

Tips

• Tiers are quantity-based — the discount applies based on the number of items in the bundle.
• All tiers must use the same discount type (all percentage or all fixed amount).
• You can have up to 6 tiers per bundle.
• Quantities should be unique and ascending — each tier requires more items than the last.
• Tiered discounts replace the single discount when enabled. Disabling tiered discounts restores the single discount option.
